Your impact:
- Provide strategic leadership, guidance, and vision to direct reports. Participate with the VP and other Directors in setting ongoing goals and objectives for the division.
- Manage all marketing strategies and campaigns, advertising materials, and conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis with sales counterparts to ensure responsiveness to client needs and market opportunities.
- Develop, enhance, implement, and market a comprehensive, attractive voluntary benefits offering for iA Special Markets that is aligned with the division's overall vision, strategic objectives, and budgets.
- Accountable for the life cycle of voluntary products, from the generation of ideas to market research, proposals, and implementation.
- Develop and lead an effective cross-sell strategy within Special Markets and in collaboration with other iA divisions.
- Consult and dialogue with clients, brokers, partners, employees, internal and external suppliers, and industry committees and be the resource for this division.
- Provides direction on all aspects of contract underwriting, quotation, policy issuance, amendments, and renewals while ensuring excellent customer service to our sales team and clients.
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, monitoring, and analyzing the activities of underwriting staff to achieve sales growth objectives while protecting division profitability.
- Supports product development.
- Directs and provides oversight and guidance of partnership agreements, auditing, and monitoring.
- Participate and provide strategic input and direction on IT-related items including the scope of initiatives, projects, and budget monitoring.
Our ideal candidate:
- Knowledge and experience in the Special Risk or Group Insurance industry.
- Degree (master's or bachelor's) in marketing, administration, actuarial, or a combination of post-secondary education and experience deemed equivalent.
- At least 5 years of insurance experience, including 5 years in direct people leadership.
- Digital marketing experience is ideal.
- Experience leading high-performing teams in a dynamic, diverse, and evolving environment.
- You exude emotional intelligence. You're a strategic visionary.
- Ability to solve complex problems and make independent decisions.
- Travel: as needed for client meetings and conferences. You'll collaborate with your team in the office 5-7 times a month.
The pay for this position is $121,626-$167,236, depending on your experience.
