Are you looking to join a team of driven professionals in a close-knit team? We have an exciting opportunity to join our Dealer Services team as a Senior Actuarial Analyst, P&C, where you will provide actuarial services to support the continued growth and success of our diverse P&C insurance portfolio.
What Will I Be Doing?
Perform valuation and financial projections of various P&C products (e.g. extended warranty, replacement insurance)
Participate in the budgeting process
Perform drivers of earnings analysis and communicate findings
Maintain and improve P&C valuation and financial forecasting models
Complete regulatory requirements such as Financial Condition Testing (FCT), P&C returns, and Appointed Actuary Report
Adapt various processes to IFRS 17
Present KPIs and recommendations to senior management
This role involves intense work periods on quarterly and annual basis. Contributions are required during peak periods or during the absence of other employees.
What Do I Need in Order to Succeed in This Role?
Bachelor in actuarial sciences, mathematics, or statistics
4-5 actuarial exams and interest in attaining FCAS designation
3 or more years of P&C actuarial experience
Excellent knowledge of Excel and strong computer skills
Very strong autonomy, resourcefulness and attention to detail
Capacity to work under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
Ability to communicate in a clear and professional manner with all levels of staff
Ability to work individually and in a team environment
What would be an Asset but Not Required in the Role?
Knowledge of IFRS 17 (asset)
Experience with R and SQL (asset)
Bilingual (French) both written and verbal communication
