IA Private Wealth / Practice Management and Training Team / French & English / Toronto, Montréal, Québec /Start as soon as possible

As a Business Practice Specialist at iA Private Wealth (iAPW), you will  be an integral part of the Practice Management and Training team in terms of: owning and analyzing important data to create reports, working with digital product teams to create training content, development of advisor team facing content and internal training modules and resources as well as being a support for the Practice Management Team and Prestige Team.

Key Accountabilities:

- Own and analyze of important data to create reports and work with digital product teams

  • Develop and maintain key data for the benefit of The Practice Management and Training Team as well as the iA Private Wealth Management Team:

  • Specifically, being the main point of contact as it pertains to PriceMetrix Data and reports for the iAPW Regional Vice Presidents and Management Team.

  • Learn new applications, business relevance, strategy, and benefits

  • Participate in various special initiatives or projects as they occur

- Create and develop training content for online training, Advisor facing content and internal training modules

  • Collect research and data on industry trends to create internal management and advisor presentations and advisor resources (with the collaboration of the Practice Management and Training Specialist)

- Maintain and update Practice Management resources and content on the advisor site, WealthLink

- Be a support and resource for the Practice Management Team and Prestige Team, as  well as other internal and external subject matter experts.              

  • Work with the Prestige Relationship Managers across Canada to deliver an exceptional advisor and client experience for digital projects and training

  • Coordinate with internal or external subject matter experts to identify strategies to help Advisors grow and increase the quality of their practice. This could include working with experts in Marketing or Social Media, Insurance and Compliance.

  • Collect research and data on industry trends to create internal management and advisor presentations and advisor resources

Other accountabilities include: 

- Maintain the highest level of customer service and professionalism

- Develop and maintain relationships with other internal departments by:

  • Having in-depth knowledge of internal department functions and workflow.

  • Communicating effectively and fostering teamwork and goodwill between internal departments.

  • Working collaboratively with Branch Managers and Regional Vice-Presidents to fully research and understand the unique business needs of the iAPW advisor teams.

- Contribute to the effective functioning of the Practice Management and Training team by:

  • Building effective working relationships across the Practice Management and Training team and with internal departments.

  • Facilitating a culture of open and honest communication.

  • Actively participating and contributing to team meetings.

  • Encouraging the generation of new ideas and approaches.

  • Actively sharing knowledge and experience to enhance the development of all team members.

  • Continuously seeking continuing education opportunities through internal or external courses.

- Other tasks as required


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial service industry, with a strong Advisor experience focus as well as some Practice Management background.

  • Above-average interpersonal skills with some presentation skills: comfortable and able to clearly facilitate and deliver a message to a small to moderate size groups

  • Expert knowledge of Excel/PowerPoint

  • Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent language skills in French and English, both oral and written, due to frequent interactions with Anglophone and Francophone colleagues and internal / external partners across Canada.

  • Ideally have some professional experience with a retail full-service brokerage environment with a strong understanding of business applications, processes, and tasks.

Working Conditions:

  • Standard office environment & remotely (WFA).

  • Occasional non-standard work hours.

  • Some travel will be required
