To maintain PPI’s exacting level of service, we are looking for a Systems Integrator to join our Burnaby Team.
The Systems Integrator works closely with the Infrastructure, Helpdesk, and Information Security teams to support, maintain, and evolve PPI's advanced IT ecosystem. This primarily includes integrating various IT systems together.
The Systems Integrator is responsible for developing and implementing new solutions and technologies; integrating systems together; automation; and troubleshooting technical issues as they arise, ensuring that all duties are performed in a secure, well-documented and reliable manner.
What you will do:
Assist with the automation of business and IT tasks, such as:
User creation and deletion
Reports (Power BI and DAX)
Software installation scripts
Azure service deployment
building and maintaining Sql Server Integration Scripts (SSIS)
Building and maintaining web APIs (.NET WebAPI 2 web services)
Assist with keeping PPI Systems up-to-date and modern
Assist with the creation and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Databases
Assist with the creation, maintenance, and deployment of an automation and integration environment
Develop, maintain, and deploy applications/scripts to integrate systems together
Participate on various implementation teams
Develop, maintain, and deploy applications/scripts to convert/manipulate data
Assist with keeping PPI's IT documentation up-to-date.
Develop, maintain, and deploy reports
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Tier 3 level technical issues.
Maintain field expertise through additional training as needed.
Additional projects and IT-related responsibilities as requested and assigned.
Who you are:
You are an experienced, qualified Systems Integrator with proven skill as a creative problem-solver and an ability to troubleshoot IT technical problems at a Tier 3 level. You have exemplary interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships and work harmoniously with multiple teams.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proficiency in documentation and the ability to handle multiple priorities and move between projects continuously.
You maintain an open-minded approach and have demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in the face of ambiguous situations, shifting demands and challenging work environments.
You maintain exemplary ethical standards and a have a proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of discretion.
What we are looking for:
Degree in computer sciences or related discipline required
A minimum of 8 years of experience in a related capacity, preferably in a financial services or insurance environment
Demonstrated proficiency with scripting, preferably PowerShell
Demonstrated proficiency with C# or VB .net
Knowledge or experience with DevOps
Understanding of and experience with IT Systems such as Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Skype for Business/VoIP
Must be able to travel
Bilingualism (English and French) beneficial but not required
