Team: The IPP team is a key contributor to the overall success of iA Private Wealth. The works with advisors to encourage the use of a model-based approach within the investment management part of their practice and supports the resources and platforms and that underpin this, including the fee-based platform, the discretionary platform and the SMA/UMA platforms.

The team Fall Associate will act as a supporting team member assisting with the team’s day-to-day tasks. The individual will provide various types of trading support, act as a liaison to co-ordinate daily SMA trades, help with content management, and manage other duties as assigned.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Trading support

  • Assist in identifying and addressing trading errors and omissions.
  • Provide administrative support after a model change has been made.
  • Update trading models on Croesus.
  • Assist in managing third-party SMA trading.
  • Reviewing SMA accounts for new deposits.
  • Classify new securities based on fee eligibility, asset class, and regional exposure.

Content management

  • Help manage site design and ongoing changes and improvements.
  • Distribute daily, monthly, and quarterly research reports and other material.
  • Review and update published documents regularly to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
  • Share ideas about how material can be improved and presented.

Support for SMA and UMA

  • Provide assistance in supporting the Elite UMA.
  • Assist with answering basic queries from Advisors.
  • Manage IPP general inbox.

Advisor Book Analysis

  • Analyze advisor books to support the sales team.
  • Consolidate data for client portfolios.
  • Assist in creating client proposals.

Market Reporting

  • Maintain a daily pre-market report that is sent to advisors.
  • Summarize market performance for monthly reports.
  • Research market-related news and trends.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge:

  • Some knowledge of the wealth management/asset management industries.
  • Financial market and economic news.
  • Investment products and market trends.

Skills:

  • Strong team player and willingness to grow.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to think analytically.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg skills.
  • Well organized and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a school program related to finance, business, investments, or other related fields.
  • Some knowledge of Bloomberg and advanced skills in Excel.
  • Must be available 20h-37.5h per week. Ideally available full-time (37.5h), please note that this position could be transformed in an internship/co-op position if needed.
