Description

The iA Large Case Solutions program is a support service for advisors with clients who require more complex financial strategies in terms of sales concepts and tax optimisation of individual insurance and savings products. Our team of large case specialists works in synergy with advisors to ensure the implementation of strategies fully tailored to the specific needs of their affluent clients, professionals or business owners.

The person working as Financial Planner is expected to:

  • Analyze, write, and present recommendations on different aspects of advanced financial planning for high-net-worth clients of iA Financial Group.
  • Make recommendations relating to the files analyzed and communicate the information for financial advisors and planners in our various networks.
  • Occasionally participate in the presentation of the financial report to clients in collaboration with the financial advisor or financial planner.
  • Provide and present training, in collaboration with team members, to wealth management specialists, personal insurance specialists and advisors on various subjects (taxation, business transfer, data collection, etc.).
  • Actively participate in the development and continuous improvement of the Advanced Financial and Tax Solutions department.
  • Participate in the training of new team members and coach interns.
  • Update the activity statistics and sales results of the team and daily.
  • Analyze all requests received via email and distribute the work according to each person's specialty. Understand the request, the technical content, and the purpose.

The financial planner will collaborate with other departments and teams to:

  • Conducts research and economic studies.
  • Develops forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finances, and other areas of business.
  • Creates financial models of “what if” scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as product development, marketing strategy design, etc.

To perform the current tasks, an employee in this position must have the following profile.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, financial services profile or in a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial planning for professionals, business owners and high value clients.
  • Financial Planner certification (CFP) obtained or in the process of obtaining.
  • Excellent English and French language skills, both oral and written, due to regular interaction with English and French speaking colleagues or internal and external partners across Canada.
  • Excellent command of Excel.
  • Excellent command of Power Point.
  • Autonomous, proactive, meticulous, reliable, and dynamic person with a good spirit of analysis and synthesis.
