Our investment operations team is seeking a student analyst to join the Fund Operations team. The selected candidate will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in monitoring the calculation of the Net Asset Value (NAV) of investment funds, as well as performing various operational tasks related to investments. This position requires strong technical and analytical skills, great attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the investment fund domain and accounting.
Tasks and Main Responsibilities:
- Validate components of the Net Asset Value (NAV) calculation for investment funds;
- Engage in various validations related to fund portfolios;
- Analyze discrepancies and communicate with external partners when necessary;
- Validate invoices from managers and financial services;
- Participate in the opening of accounts with external partners;
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of work methods and various projects.
Desired Profile:
Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Finance or Accounting;
- Pursuing CPA or CFA designation, or enrolled in the CPA or CFA program (an asset);
- Good understanding of NAV calculations and investment products;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
- Minimum of one year of experience in investment operations or a related field (an asset).
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and precision in handling financial data;
- Ability to consistently demonstrate accuracy in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams;
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Intermediate proficiency in English, as the role requires daily interactions with our unilingual English-speaking provider and clients, both verbally and in writing.
