Our Financial Controller team is currently expanding and is looking for a Senior Advisor to play a key role within a large team!

Your Role

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the financial reporting value chain of a public company by managing new acquisitions and integrations within corporate accounting.
  • Developing expertise in U.S. accounting standards (US GAAP & US SAP) to serve as a key reference within the team.
  • Participating in due diligence for acquired companies.
  • Understanding and taking ownership of the accounting processes of acquired companies to integrate them into corporate processes and accounting governance.
  • Collaborating with consolidation and financial disclosure teams to integrate acquired companies.
  • Setting up various mapping tables (chart of accounts, IFRS 17 variables).
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of work methods to enhance operational efficiency in financial processes, while participating in financial system transformation and optimization projects.
  • Identifying, developing, and recommending strategic and complex accounting positions while ensuring sound governance of accounting processes.
  • Demonstrating leadership by participating in multidisciplinary working groups and managing various mandates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BAC), MBA is an asset.
  • CPA designation is an asset.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced English proficiency (30-50% of the time daily, both oral and written) to understand and explain specialized topics with U.S. insurance sector partners and subsidiaries.
  • Expertise in US GAAP and US SAP is an asset.
