Managing Director, Investment Banking, Oil & Gas

About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Managing Director to lead our Investment Banking team focused on the Oil and Gas sector with a particular emphasis on junior exploration and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development initiatives, managing client relationships, and executing on deals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Oil and Gas industry with a focus on junior exploration and services and a proven track record of success in Investment Banking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a strategic business plan to drive growth and profitability in the Oil and Gas sector with a particular focus on junior exploration and services

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including senior executives, board members, and other key stakeholders

• Originate and execute M&A transactions, equity and debt offerings, and other corporate finance transactions for companies in the junior exploration and services sector

• Lead deal teams and manage the execution of transactions, ensuring that all aspects of the process are completed on time and to a high standard

• Work closely with internal teams, including research, legal, and compliance, to ensure all aspects of transactions are executed efficiently and effectively

• Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning

• Participate in industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements to build the firm's profile and network within the Oil and Gas industry, with a focus on junior exploration and services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Investment Banking, with a focus on the Oil and Gas industry with a particular emphasis on junior exploration and services

• Strong understanding of the Oil and Gas industry with a focus on junior exploration and services, and key drivers of value creation

• Proven track record of successfully originating and executing M&A, equity and debt offerings, and other corporate finance transactions for companies in the junior exploration and services sector

• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, with a track record of successfully managing complex and challenging situations

• Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and concisely

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
