The incumbent will build and maintain relationships with assigned MGA and Broker accounts. Incumbent will also provide new and existing Advisors with guidance and educational seminars, setting expectations, discussing working relationships, demonstrating new products, their advantages and features and ensuring that Corporate Procedures are understood and followed.
Reporting to the Regional Vice President, with a direct alignment to the Director of Sales Life and Director of Sales Living Benefit, the incumbent:
Delivers product and other related seminars to MGA and Life advisors and their marketing support staff.
Acts as a liaison between Advisors and the Regional Office administrative personnel.
Supports the Directors of Sales in the delivery of Marketing & Sales Seminars, including follow up with all appropriate correspondences, marketing materials, etc.
Works in close collaboration with the Directors of Sales to develop a Marketing Plan for their regions particularly for the delivery of product and software knowledge to Advisors.
Acts as the liaison between the Advisors and the Prairies Regional Office personnel to facilitate resolution of problems in such matters as contracting, compensation, underwriting and new business
Ensure productive relationships with Advisors by proactively providing administrative, sales and marketing support, including, but not limited to, inventory management, product information and special quotes
Solicit new business and re-establish contact with Advisors via telephone, and all Virtual Platforms currently used by IA
Maintain regular contact with top, past and future supporters, including CPB and BDB qualifiers
Become full versed in all products under Industrial Alliance
Maintain up to date contact sheets for MGA and advisor. Distribute to the appropriate IA sales directors supporting the MGA and Brokers.
Attendance at planned conferences, road shows, presentations, and organized events for supporters during evening and weekend hours, as required
Qualifications and key skills
3+ years of inside/outside sales experience. Experience in insurance industry/ brokerage environment is an asset
Bachelor Degree or College Diploma
Current Life License or working on LLQP
CFP or other industry related Designations would be an asset
Well developed communications and presentation skills
Ability to function well in pressure situations, flexibility and diplomacy
Ability to work with minimal supervision and to create opportunities to expand business
Good mathematic aptitude and strong attention to detail
