iA Financial Group is seeking an Enterprise Architecture Consultant in the Data and Information domain to work within the Enterprise Architecture department.
As an Enterprise Architect you are able to represent a concept at different layers of abstraction (e.g. conceptual, logical, physical), moving from vision to detail. You have a broad knowledge of IT solutions, trends and best practices in the market.
You play a strategic role in orchestrating strategies and actions to maintain the health and performance of the company's IT assets and work closely with the sector enterprise architects in developing plans for the evolution of the sector he/she represents.
Responsibilities, he or she;
Accompanies the sectors of the company in their reflections and the establishment of pragmatic strategic plans for the evolution of their IT investment portfolio (i.e. Roadmaps)
Actively promotes the principles and frameworks related to the IT architecture domain
Define strategic data and information technology targets supporting the organization's business strategies and develop target architectures.
Participates in the planning and implementation of strategic data and information projects for the company by acting as a guardian of the strategy and objectives, monitoring impacts, risks and return on investment.
Actively participates in the evolution of the EA function, the development of its service offerings and frameworks.
Integrates the strategies and requirements submitted and framed by the normative framework in information security within the reflections and various accompanying works.
Acts as a leader in the development of strategic positions and orientations to position the company for the future.
Accompanies the implementation teams in the use of the current reference architectures.
Develops and maintains EA frameworks including orientations, positioning, architecture principles and non-functional requirements.
Coaches delivery teams as required to support their understanding and enhance alignment with EA application frameworks.
Translates business strategy into specific capabilities and requirements to be delivered and maintained by ITVP.
Works closely with the industry enterprise architects and as needed with the organization's solution architects to support their architecture activities.
Ensures the overall sustainability, evolution and consistency of the solutions put forward, taking into account strategic targets, requirements and market trends.
The areas of expertise under your responsibility will include:
Data and database architecture
Data modeling, data flows and data quality management
Data migration and data lifecycle management
Lifecycle management of data-specific environments
Data security management
Overall performance management in the data ecosystem
More specifically, general knowledge of the following technologies and workflows is essential to the role:
Data warehouses / counters and data lakes
Protocols such as OLAP and OLTP
Master data management
Extraction, transformation and loading technologies
Business intelligence, artificial intelligence and machine learning
Open data, APIs and integrations (such as Kafka or others)
Agile development cycles (DevOps, DevSecOps, DataOps)
Source and scale management
MS SQL, Mongo DB, NoSqL, PostGress, Oracle databases
Automation and scripting platforms
In short, understanding the end-to-end data ecosystem
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management or other relevant education at the same level
Minimum of 15 years' experience in information technology, including significant experience as a high-level or enterprise architecture consultant
Knowledge of the financial services industry (asset)
Ability to effectively influence and advocate for enterprise architectural strategies and directions from a diverse audience
Experience in designing highly available, secure, high-volume technology applications or systems
Strongly focused on cloud and virtualization
Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)
Experience working with SDLC, DevOps, ITSM, Agile and LEAN frameworks and methodologies
Excellent knowledge of English and French, both verbal and written.
