Underwriting/ Customer Service / Bilingual / Across Canada

You enjoy customer service and have always been interested in underwriting? The Partnerships team in the Underwriting, New Business and Claims family is seeking two case coordinators.

As a case coordinator you will:

  • Manage relationships with external partners for underwriting and new business and provide harmonized, proactive and personalized service as the primary point of contact for MGAs

  • Support sales managers and marketing associates with underwriting-related issues while serving in the field as an expert in the NB & UW process

  • Answer underwriting-related emails and phone calls, including status updates, clarification of underwriting decisions and new guidelines

  • Support the assistant manager and manager in providing training and helpful guidance during presentations or roundtables at MGA offices

  • Manage system reports related to incomplete cases

  • Follow up on incomplete cases to prevent commissions from being charged to brokers

  • Identify areas where service could be improved based on agent feedback

  • Provide information and training to brokers to avoid future requests for similar information

The following profile fits you:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of individual insurance products, particularly life, critical illness and disability insurance, is an asset

  • Knowledge of underwriting, reinsurance and health business processes is an asset

  • Experience with underwriting/new business tools (EVO, Extranet, Business Tracker, Workflow, AGO) is an asset

  • Experience as a contact centre specialist is an advantage

  • Relationship-oriented advisor and client experience with strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Team player

  • Good verbal and written language skills in both English and French owing to frequent interaction with English- and French-speaking colleagues and clients across Canada

  • Available to work until 5 p.m.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines

  • Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proactive mindset
