Under the supervision of the Team Leader, this person is responsible for meeting the needs of the client with regards to individual life insurance policies. He/She is responsible for processing and coding of transactions, such as incoming payments, billing transactions, disbursements, legal designations, and placements. The requests are varied, time-sensitive and high in volume. They are to be completed with promptness, minimal supervision, and self-validation with a high level of accuracy. He/She approves disbursements within applicable limits. He/she will be required to open the daily incoming mail, sort requests and output, routing the requests in the “workflow” application system.
He/She initiates verbal or written correspondence to clarify ambiguous transactions from clients, agents or MGAs. He/she provides back-up on a regular basis for the client service team by responding to telephone and email inquiries.
He/She identifies rules and procedures that require updating and suggests improvements to simplify processes and gain efficiencies. He/She shares with his/her team members the responsibility for productivity. He/She shares knowledge to aid in the proper functioning of the department.
•General College Degree Diploma and 2 years of insurance industry experience OR 5 years of insurance industry experience;
•Excellent computer skills;
•Excellent knowledge of the English and/or French language;
•Knowledge of tax rules and life insurance regulations;
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a mathematical aptitude;
•Excellent client service and responsive to the needs and expectations of clients and partners;
• Ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner;
• Good communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills;
• Works well independently and in a team environment;
• Takes ownership and initiative;
•Positive attitude, proactive and self-motivated.
