What type of insurance do you have?
Accelerated life insurance benefit: This benefit is paid when the insured is still alive and is used to obtain an advance on their life insurance benefit. To qualify, the insured must have been diagnosed with a terminal illness with a life expectancy of 24 months or less.
Accident insurance: To make a claim under an Accifamily, Accigroup or Accigroup Plus policy.
Exception drug authorization claims are related to the personalized coverage program obtained through MRa.
Creditor insurance obtained through a vehicle dealership: To make a claim for life, critical illness or disability insurance.
CloseLife insurance: To make a claim following the death of an insured.
Disability insurance: To make a claim in the event of work stoppage caused by disability, except for coverage obtained through a vehicle dealership. Coverage may be for illness, accident or both. Claims may be made for the following types of disability coverage:
- — Replacement of lost income
- — Debt coverage (e.g.: mortgage)
- — Company overhead expense coverage
- — Waiver of insurance premiums or contributions in the event of disability
Critical illness insurance: To make a claim in the event of a critical (or life-threatening) illness diagnosis. The number of illnesses covered varies based on the insurance policy, and definitions for each illness are specified in the policy. Partial benefits may cover certain non-life-threatening illnesses.
Accident and hospitalization: To make a claim for the following types of coverage:
- — Accidental fracture, except for Accifamily and Peek-a-Boo insurance
- — Accidental dismemberment or loss of use of a limb
- — Hospitalization or home health care expenses
- — Paramedical costs resulting from an accident
