What you’ll accomplish with us

As a Bilingual Case Manager, Long‑Term Disability, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Assess long‑term disability claims to determine eligibility for benefits based on medical information, contractual provisions, and internal policies;

  • Conduct detailed telephone interviews to gather relevant medical and non‑medical information;

  • Develop, implement, and actively manage individualized case management plans;

  • Identify functional limitations and non‑medical factors impacting disability duration and support return‑to‑work initiatives in collaboration with rehabilitation partners;

  • Coordinate and support gradual return‑to‑work plans with physicians, participants, and policyholders;

  • Communicate effectively with policyholders, participants, health professionals, service providers, and government agencies through various communication channels;

  • Manage complex and emotionally charged conversations related to claim decisions and benefit eligibility;

  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date participant files in internal systems;

  • Contribute to special projects and participate in meetings with clients and suppliers as required.

What could accelerate your success in this role

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Possesses a college diploma (DEC) or bachelor’s degree in a health‑related field, human resources, or any other relevant discipline;

  • Has 4 to 5 years of experience in disability case management, insurance claims, or a related role;

  • Is recognized for their strong analytical skills and sound judgment;

  • Stands out for their ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally;

  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment;

  • Is known for their autonomy, adaptability, and collaborative mindset;

  • Has knowledge of medical terminology, occupational health and safety, and customer‑focused service practices;

  • Fluent in English both oral and written

  • Advanced level of English proficiency as the roles involves communicating verbally and in writing with policyholders, participants, health professionals, and external partners on a regular basis.

The typical hiring range for this position is between $66 862.00 and $96 093.00 CAD per year; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role.
