As a Team Leader, Opportunity Development, you will play a key role in coordinating activities, driving collective performance, and developing the talent of a team of Opportunity Development Agents (ODA). What you will accomplish with us
As a Team Leader, Opportunity Development, you will be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
Overseeing the overall management of ODA team operations, including planning, prioritization, and workload distribution across various mandates (iAAH, iAAV, CAA, and RRC), to ensure operational and performance objectives are achieved;
Coaching, engaging, and developing team talent through effective coaching practices, ongoing support, continuous feedback, and recognition, while ensuring the onboarding and development of new employees;
Assessing individual and collective performance, conducting periodic evaluations and year-end reviews, and implementing required actions to support team progression and performance;
Ensuring consistency in the application of work methods, procedures, and organizational policies, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices;
Leading and deploying priority projects and initiatives aligned with organizational directions, in collaboration with other team leaders and relevant partners;
Performing, approximately two hours per week, ODA call-handling activities for skills maintenance, frontline insight, and quality coaching purposes, without production accountability;
Acting as a resource person for the Career Network Referral Program (RRC), including use of the HubSpot platform, management of the support inbox, and coordination of related campaigns and initiatives;
Monitoring team results, performance indicators, and initiatives, and reporting to the Director, Opportunity Development, while maintaining collaborative relationships with internal partners.
What could accelerate your success in this role
We are looking for someone who:
Holds a bachelor’s degree in administration, finance, insurance, management, or a related field;
Has a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in insurance, financial services, or financial product distribution;
Has a minimum of three (3) years of experience in customer relations;
Is recognized for their ability to manage change and support teams through evolving practices and priorities;
Stands out for their mobilizing leadership and ability to manage complexity;
Demonstrates a strong ability to prioritize and navigate multiple mandates, along with strong analytical, synthesis, and decision-making skills;
Is known for their organizational skills, rigor, autonomy, attention to detail, as well as their tact, discretion, and professional judgment;
Has a very good command of the Microsoft Office suite;
Is available to work one evening per week until 8:00 p.m.;
Is recognized for their excellent ability to coach and develop talent;
Excels in clear and effective communication, both verbally and in writing;
Demonstrates a strong orientation toward continuous improvement, results, and solutions;
Has experience in a coaching, mentoring, or leadership role (a strong asset).
