What you’ll accomplish with us

• As a Disability Case Manager, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
• Assess short- and long-term disability claims to determine eligibility for benefits based on medical documentation and policy guidelines 
• Conduct detailed telephone interviews to gather medical and non-medical information 
• Develop and implement personalized case management plans 
• Collaborate with rehabilitation teams and attending physicians to facilitate return-to-work plans 
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, participants, healthcare professionals, and government agencies 
• Handle sensitive and potentially difficult conversations with empathy and professionalism 
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim files in our system 
• Participate in client and supplier meetings and contribute to special projects

• Is known for their excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Has 2 to 5 years of experience in disability claims, health professions, human resources, or a related field 
• Has knowledge of occupational health and safety and medical terminology 
• Is customer service oriented and thrives in a multifunctional team environment
