Menstrual cycle

The menstrual cycle lasts an average of 28 days and is divided into four phases:

The menstrual phase

Shedding of the uterine lining (menstruation), often accompanied by fatigue or cramps.

The follicular phase

The ovulation phase

Release of the egg, sometimes accompanied by slight pain.

The luteal phase

Preparation for pregnancy or the next period, with symptoms such as bloating or mood swings.

Screening tests are generally performed using a:
