Menopause
A natural transition
Menopause marks the end of menstruation and fertility. This natural process generally occurs between the ages of 45 and 55 and lasts for several years. It involves physical, psychological and emotional changes, which vary from person to person.
What is menopause?
Menopause has three main phases: perimenopause, menopause and postmenopause. Each of these involves hormonal, physical and emotional changes that often come with symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep disturbances and mood swings. The intensity and duration of these symptoms vary from person to person.
