This role would be based in Vancouver and would have an in office requirement of 2-3 days in office per week.

What you’ll accomplish with us

As an Account Specialist 1, you’ll be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:


  • Analyze and process client/broker premium and commission accounts.
  • Control high volume data received from the bank for client payments, investigating discrepancies and non-payment with a focus on customer retention.
  • Daily and monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Preparation of daily bank deposit, including generation of corresponding journals.
  • Collaborate with other team members and business units to streamline and document processes.
  • Generation of client refund cheques.
  • Coordination with other Account Specialists to determine rotation of required office tasks.
  • Analyze financial control reports and ensure appropriate action is taken.
  • Preparation of accounting entries and/or manual premium adjustments.
  • Develop and maintain standard financial team documentation for processes and procedures according to specifications within business requirements.

The typical hiring range for this position is between $50,000 and $55,000 CAD per year; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role.
