What You Will Accomplish with Us
As a Compliance Student, you will be at the core of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:
Monitoring and managing the Service’s shared email inboxes and assigning requests to the appropriate internal resources.
Opening files in accordance with established processes.
Assisting and supporting compliance advisors and analysts in carrying out various monitoring processes related to the activities of manufacturers and intermediaries within distribution networks, including:
Processing customer complaints;
Verifying the qualifications and integrity of intermediaries;
Conducting investigations into intermediaries’ business practices;
Participating in oversight initiatives involving distributors and intermediaries;
Supporting training initiatives for intermediaries.
Assisting and supporting technicians in managing access to information requests from regulators and external partners.
What Could Help Accelerate Your Success in This Role
We are looking for someone who:
Is currently a student in Legal Techniques or pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Law;
Is recognized for their rigor, commitment, professionalism, and reliability;
Demonstrates a strong desire to learn, a high level of autonomy, and resourcefulness;
Has a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite;
Has an intermediate level of English, as the role involves daily written and verbal communication and collaboration with unilingual English-speaking colleagues;
Has knowledge of the individual insurance industry and the distribution of financial products and services (an asset).
