What you will accomplish with us

As a Student – Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be at the core of our mission. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements and fund disclosures (Fund Facts and Fund Profiles) for mutual funds and segregated funds, including the collection, verification, and organization of financial data from various sources;

• Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows, and statement of changes in equity, as well as identifying and reviewing discrepancies, irregularities, and potential financial risks;

• Ensuring that financial statements comply with all IFRS standards and regulatory requirements within the industry;

• Monitoring and implementing appropriate controls related to the production of financial reports, regulatory reports, and other investment-related publications;

• Developing and automating visualization and validation tools using technologies such as Excel VBA, Power BI, and Python.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration (finance or accounting profile);

• Is recognized for strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data;

• Stands out for their ability to consistently demonstrate rigor in a constantly evolving environment;

• Demonstrates a high level of autonomy while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams;

• Is known for their ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines;

• Has a minimum of one year of experience in financial analysis or a related field;

• Has strong technical skills in Excel VBA and Python;

• Is available to work between 15 and 20 hours per week during academic sessions (Monday to Friday, daytime) and full-time during breaks;

• Has an advanced level of proficiency in English, as the role involves daily interactions with an English-only supplier, as well as English-speaking clients and colleagues, both verbally and in writing, and requires the production of financial reports in English.
