Description
Are you passionate about helping professionals thrive? As a Business Transition Associate, you'll be the driving force behind advisor development and national business initiatives. You'll play a vital role in ensuring smooth onboarding, enhancing training programs, and fostering business growth across the firm.
What You'll Do:
Provide support to Advisors by:
Providing in-depth training on systems and procedures to advisors and their teams
Supporting recruits with client on-boarding
Working closely with the regional Sales Management teams and the Transition team, the Transition and Training Associate will provide personalized training sessions for advisors and their staff.
Training sessions may be in-person, over the phone or web-based as required
Working closely with the Practice Management team by:
Developing and improving advisor training material
Proactively suggesting new advisor training initiatives
Coordinating with internal or external subject matter experts to identify strategies to help Advisors grow and increase the quality of their practice.
This could include working with experts in Financial Planning, Marketing, Insurance, Compliance, etc.
Developing relationships with 3rd party vendors to source training material and support
Remaining current on upcoming firm and industry changes. The Transition & Training Associate is expected to regularly:
Attend monthly Operational calls and quarterly Advisor calls
Attend in-person and/or e-learning training sessions hosted by the IAS training department and 3rd party vendors
Proactively seek personal continuing education opportunities to increase industry knowledge
Provide support to Sales Management Team by:
Meeting regularly with the SVP, Head of National Sales and the Director, Business transition and Support. Business and National Sales Initiatives to discuss the ongoing training and development needs of each region and develop national strategy.
Assisting with national recruiting initiatives
Presenting to new recruits.
Coordinating, organizing, and planning national training events, such as Admin.Net
Assisting in the review and maintenance of Sales Management material on the IAS intranet site
Reviewing monthly and quarterly revenue and asset reports
Sending notices or reminders to RVPs and RRMs regarding important system or policy changes, or special initiatives
Proactively identify areas where additional advisor communication is required and co-ordinate the communication by:
Informing department heads and senior management
Develop and maintain relationships with other internal departments by:
Having in-depth knowledge of internal department functions and work flow
Communicating effectively and fostering teamwork and goodwill between internal departments
Working collaboratively with Branch Managers and the Regional Vice-Presidents to fully research and understand the unique business needs of each Advisor.
Contribute to the effective functioning of the Regional Sales & Support team by:
Ensuring consistent and efficient processes and practices are followed across the country
Facilitating a culture of open and honest communication
Actively participating and contributing to team meetings
Encouraging the generation of new ideas and approaches
Actively sharing knowledge and experience to enhance the development of all team members
Developing and executing a meaningful employee development plan
Maintaining the highest level of customer service and professionalism
Contribute to the effective functioning of the Transitions team by:
Facilitating a culture of open and honest communication
Actively participating and contributing to team meetings
Encouraging the generation of new ideas and approaches
Actively sharing knowledge and experience to enhance the development of all team members
Maintaining a high level of customer service

Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the financial service industry, with a strong client-service or advisor-service focus
Ability to deal with ongoing aggressive deadlines and to meet theses deadlines within established time frames, with little control over the volume of work
Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills
Experience with NBIN systems and policies is an asset
Advanced knowledge of the English language, as the person will be required to communicate orally and in writing with unilingual English-speaking internal and external partners across Canada on a daily basis via e-mail, virtual meetings and the production of content in English only.
