Data Analyst / Co-op Student / Hybrid : 3 to 4 days a week in office / Toronto / 37,5 hours weekly / Starting in January 2025
Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Co-op Student to join our trading team. This role will focus on building processes to collect data and analytics to support our trading strategies and decision-making processes. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic trading environment and contribute to the development of data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets related to trading activities.
- Develop and maintain data models and dashboards to monitor trading performance.
- Collaborate with traders to identify trends and patterns in trading data.
- Support the implementation of data-driven trade execution strategies.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to the trading team.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program (e.g., Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Experience in Bloomberg, VBA is an asset
