Renée Laflamme is Executive Vice-President, Individual Insurance, Savings and Retirement with iA Financial Group, overseeing the business line’s operations across the country. Renée has a bachelor’s degree in administration from Université Laval and holds the designations of Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst. In 2017, she was awarded the title of Fellow CPA. Renée started her career at iA Financial Group in 1998 after having worked for ten years in a large accounting firm. In 2004, she became Vice-President, Mortgages and in 2010, Vice-President, Group Savings and Retirement. In 2015, she was promoted to the Strategic Planning Committee and the position of Executive Vice-President, Group Benefits and Retirement Solutions. Since February 2018, she has been responsible for Individual Insurance, Savings and Retirement operations across Canada.
After 10 years of experience in the public and private sectors, Sébastien joined iA Financial Group’s diversified funds and economy team in January 2013. In addition to his role as Chief Strategist and Senior Economist, Sébastien also acts as portfolio manager at iA Financial Group, managing assets closing in on $15 billion, and is a member of the firm’s asset allocation committee. These roles allow him to express his passion for numbers, words, and communication. Sébastien acts as iA Financial Group’s spokesperson and guest speaker on economic and financial matters.
Philippe has specialized in the field of financial services for nearly 25 years. After completing his studies in economics and finance, he worked in the field of investments, both mutual funds and securities.
Over the years, he has been a fund consultant for a bank, financial analyst for a portfolio management firm and investment specialist in the field of private management. Through contact with successful financial advisors, he became hooked on business development. His diverse experiences, talents for simplifying the complex and his passion for researching customized solutions have enabled him to become a successful wholesaler.
Always eager to learn and take on new challenges, Philippe then pivoted to the world of life insurance. Today, his motivation is to share his wide-ranging expertise by combining his grasp of economic issues with his unique understanding of the needs of financial advisors and their clients, as well as his interest in advanced insurance concepts and portfolio management.
Dan joined iA Global Asset Management in 2022 to lead the dividend team and manage the iA Global Dividend Fund. He is a passionate fundamental researcher with a keen eye for finding advantageous business models around the world. Prior to joining iAGAM, Dan was at CI Global Asset Management and its predecessor brand, CI Cambridge, for ten years. During his time at CI, he was portfolio manager and team leader for the CI Global Concentrated Equities team. Dan and his research team diligently managed more than $3 billion in client savings across several global dividend and global equity portfolios. Before taking on leadership responsibilities, Dan was responsible for conducting deep fundamental research across global financials and real estate sector. He graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Isabelle joined iA Financial Group in May 2019 and has over 20 years of experience in strategic marketing and communications, including nearly 15 years in the financial sector. Results- and performance-oriented, she is quick to identify opportunities and translate them into distinctive go-to-market strategies. An inspired and inspiring person, she has a talent for motivating her teams and partners to exceed objectives.

Adil Mahroug is a senior strategist and director on the asset allocation team at iA Global Asset Management. His areas of expertise include economics, econometrics, asset allocation, currency management and portfolio construction. Throughout his career, he has held various positions in financial institutions, as a consultant and as a university lecturer. He has a background in finance and economics, holds a master’s degree in financial economics and is currently completing his PhD in macroeconomics.
Kim Girard is Senior Director of the Individual Insurance, Savings and Retirement Products team at iA Financial Group. She leads the product development teams in the areas of life insurance, savings and retirement, living benefits, and advanced financial and tax solutions.
Kim holds a degree in actuarial science from Université Laval, is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
Kim joined iA Financial Group in 2004 as an actuarial analyst with Corporate Services. Over the years, she has progressed within the corporate team in various management roles, and has acquired extensive expertise in several areas, such as IFRS 17, risk and capital management, as well as product pricing. She was appointed Senior Director, Individual Insurance, Savings and Retirement Products in April 2023.
Pierre Lafontaine has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in project management. He has thirty years of experience in financial services and financial planning with major financial institutions, including London Life and Sun Life. He has contributed to the launches of several new advanced financial planning products and services in insurance and wealth management over the course of his career, in addition to managing and building teams of financial, sales and marketing experts.
Since joining iA Financial Group in 2021, Pierre has directed the team of tax specialists and consultants supporting the iA Large Case Solutions program for more complex cases and has developed concepts and training associated with this service.
Mylène Cousineau est fiscaliste et détentrice d’une maîtrise en fiscalité de l’Université de Sherbrooke. Elle compte près de trois ans d’expérience en planification fiscale (réorganisation d’entreprises, admissibilité et multiplication de la déduction pour gains en capital, planification successorale, etc.) acquise en tant que vérificatrice au sein du ministère du Revenu du Québec. Elle a également œuvré pendant quatorze ans auprès d’institutions financières, dont neuf ans en tant que planificatrice financière pour servir une clientèle aisée.
Depuis 2022, Mylène agit comme fiscaliste au sein de l’équipe de Solutions financières et fiscales avancées. En plus de compléter et d’optimiser les stratégies mises en place par les conseillers, elle collabore directement avec les professionnels des clients au besoin. Elle participe à la rédaction et au développement de documents de référence et de nouveaux produits en fiscalité.
Alex Lamontagne is Manager of the Individual Savings and Retirement Products team at iA Financial Group. In this role, he is responsible for the development of our vast range of savings and retirement products. Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Université Laval and is also an Associate of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries as well as of the Society of Actuaries (SOA). Alex started his career at iA Financial Group in 2019 on the Corporate Actuarial Services team, specializing in savings and retirement products, from where he swiftly progressed to his current position.
Paul is Senior Vice-President, Distribution Independent Advisor Network for iA Financial Group, one of Canada’s leading life insurance companies. He is a Certified Financial Planner, a Chartered Life Underwriter, and a Chartered Financial Consultant.
His dynamic and personable speaking style makes him a sought-after speaker on sales techniques, life and health insurance, and financial planning. In 2001 Paul published the first book in Canada on life insurance, “The Facts of Life: How to Build Wealth and Protect your Assets with Life Insurance”. A second edition was published in 2003.
