Compensation and Distribution Networks/Contract Management/Québec/Toronto

Under the supervision of the Director, Contracting and Compensation Distribution Network, the Contracting Manager will provide guidance and leadership for operations related to the contract management of advisors and Managing General Agents. More specifically, the Manager will be responsible for compliance with the requirements and processes for the granting, modification, movement and termination of sales force contracts, as well as for the service offered to general agents, advisors and our internal partners.

To achieve this, he/she will:

  • Be responsible for maintaining and developing the service standards of the processes under his/her responsibility, and for escalation management.
  • Ensure the execution of the DMS and the implementation of corrective action plans when required.
  • Identify optimization opportunities and prioritize them through a perfect mastery of processes and advanced use of data.
  • Work closely with the Director and other management team members to maintain an inclusive and high-performance working environment.
  • Support and develop the technical and business skills of team members.
  • Set up and develop a career plan for each of the functions under its responsibility.
  • Encourage and facilitate the professional growth of team members.
  • Be responsible for the hiring and performance review of employees.
  • Maintain a high quality of standards and collaborate with other members of the management team in the implementation of controls to proactively identify and manage errors.
  • Work in collaboration with our sales teams and distributors to ensure a full understanding of their needs and to provide appropriate solutions.
  • Work in collaboration with other departments in the business line, including the business expertise and compliance team to ensure the smooth running and evolution of administrative practices.
  • Participate with the Director and other members of the management team in the development of strategic directions and ensure the implementation of the required actions that will achieve the vision of the department and the sector.

Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting or Actuarial Science.
  •  More than 8 years of relevant and role-related experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of the contracting ecosystem and key stakeholders in the financial services industry (Governors as: FSRA and MAF, Apexa...)
  • Leadership
  • Analytical and synthesis skills
  • Autonomy, initiative and decision-making skills
  • Political Acumen, Influence and Diplomacy
  • Excellent of French and English, both written and oral, due to frequent interactions with french and english employee
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
