Sean Matiowsky is a highly accomplished Vice-President of Sales for iA Financial Group with over 25 years’ experience in the industry. Leading and motivating a team of sales directors who serve nearly 13,000 financial advisors, he has strategically helped accelerate the growth of business with and provided leading-edge support solutions for the World Financial Group distribution network across Canada for life and living benefits insurance as well as for savings and retirement.
Prior to his current position, Sean joined iA Clarington in 2008 as Vice-President for mutual fund sales. As an agile senior executive, Sean has used his expertise to introduce WFG to the iA Clarington investment products growing sales by 335% over a span of 7 years.
During a career that spans over two decades, Sean has established himself as an inspirational leader with a track record of generating sustainable growth in a rapidly changing financial services environment. As a strategic and accessible leader, Sean is known for devising innovative strategies to grow steady and strong partnerships. He takes a vision and makes it a reality.
When Sean is not collaborating with his innovative team, he can be seen volunteering for hockey and snowboarding events to support his boys’ sports teams. He enjoys family time with his wife and three kids in their hometown, Calgary. Sean believes in simplicity of solutions and promotes focusing on what is important to achieve success, whether in life or at work.
