Alain Bergeron
Executive Vice-President and Chief Investment Officer, iA Financial Group
Alain Bergeron is responsible for the management and oversight of all of the firm's assets, including the general and investment funds offered to our clients, representing assets under management (AUM) of over $100 billion. He also chairs iA’s asset allocation committee and is a member of the executive committee, which establishes the strategic direction for the organization.
With over 20 years of industry experience, including 6 years as Senior Vice-President at Mackenzie Investments and 11 years at the CPP Investment Board, Alain enhances the organization with a combination of institutional management and pension experience as well as a deep understanding of individual wealth management. He has also been the Chair of WealthSimple Investment Advisory Committee, taught at HEC Montréal and the Rotman School of Management, is published in academic journals, and is a recipient of the HEC Relève d'Excellence award. He began his career trading derivatives at TD Securities. Alain obtained a bachelor's degree in business administration and a Master's degree in financial engineering from HEC Montréal. He holds the CFA and CMT (Chartered Market Technician) designations.
