iA Financial Group makes a second investment in Australia
iA Financial Group is pleased to announce its second investment in Australia, a debenture with a 25‐year term, in the context of a private‐public infrastructure project in Western Australia. You may recall that iA Financial Group made its first investment in the Australian continent in September 2014 with a debenture in the amount of 25 million Australian dollars from the New Royal Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide, South Australia.
iA Financial Group has been involved in private investments for over 40 years. In 2013, the company set up an Australian debenture investment program in Australian dollars. The program focuses mainly on infrastructure projects and corporate issuers with excellent solvency.
“We are particularly proud of this investment for a number of reasons, including its duration: 25 years is considered a very long term in the Australian market,” explained Michel Tremblay, Executive Vice‐President and Chief Investment Officer at iA Financial Group. “It’s also an investment that will generate stable revenues while fitting nicely within an acceptable risk profile.”
