Quebec City,

News Release

Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. is proud to support the Fédération des établissements d’enseignement privés (FEEP) in its project to create a discovery room for teaching and learning at the Musée de la civilisation de Québec. This room, which will open in 2008, will be one of the major projects of the Centre muséopédagogique of the Musée de la civilisation, whose official inauguration took place today.

"This new partnership embodies one of Industrial Alliance’s fundamental values: education," stated Jacques Carrière, Vice-President, Investor Relations, Industrial Alliance. "Our Company has always strongly encouraged teaching institutions that allow young people to develop their talents through quality training tools. This discovery room is a valuable pedagogical resource that will enable them to become aware of the benefits of teaching and become familiar with learning methods."

Far from being limited to school groups, this discovery room will be accessible to all visitors of the Musée, since it is intended to appeal to a broad audience interested in teaching and learning. This innovative project also embodies another value that Industrial Alliance feels strongly about – family – since people of all ages will benefit from it.

As a Company committed to the betterment of the community, Industrial Alliance is pleased to be an ambassador of education in various regions of Canada. The Company's contribution to educational development in Quebec is just one of its many commitments to various teaching institutions across Canada, including the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), University of Manitoba, Université de Montréal, Université de Sherbrooke and, in the Quebec City area, Université Laval, École nationale d’administration publique, Cégep de Sainte-Foy and Cégep Limoilou.
