Industrial Alliance Publishes its Annual Report and Mails the Proxy Circular for its Annual Meeting

Today, Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. will begin mailing its 2005 Annual Report and Proxy Circular inviting shareholders and participating policyholders to attend the Company’s next annual general meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at 2:00 p.m., at the Centre des congrès de Québec, 1000 René-Lévesque Boulevard East, in Quebec City.

The theme of the Company’s 2005 Annual Report is Breaking New Ground – From Insurance to Wealth Management. This theme reflects the Company’s marked progress in the last few years, primarily in the mutual fund and securities sectors. In addition to the message from the Chairman of the Board and the President and Chief Executive Officer’s Report, the 2005 Annual Report contains a description of Industrial Alliance’s lines of business, management’s discussion and analysis and the 2005 consolidated financial statements.

The Proxy Circular contains information about the annual general meeting, including details concerning the election of the Company’s directors and the appointment of auditors for the current year.
