Industrial Alliance is now Part of the TSE 100

Industrial-Alliance Life Insurance Company welcomes the listing of its stock (Toronto Stock Exchange: IAG) on the TSE 100. This listing will take effect at the closing of the stock markets today, Thursday, May 10, 2001.

"The listing of our stock on the TSE 100 acknowledges the continued success of Industrial Alliance’s results. This listing reflects the Company’s importance among the Canadian companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and among life and health insurance companies in Canada," explained Yvon Charest, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Being part of the TSE 100 index will increase our profile among investors."

You may recall that Industrial Alliance was officially listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange in February 2000. On September 19, Industrial Alliance´s stock was included in the TSE 300 index.
