Lost or stolen keys
If your keys are lost or stolen, you get up to $500 coverage on the replacement cost.
In the event of an incident covered by your policy, you get a replacement vehicle while yours is being repaired. You’re also entitled to an allowance of up to $75 a day to a maximum of $2,000 for vehicle rentals.
If the accident occurs while you’re on a trip, you’re entitled to a lump sum payment of up to $1,000 for additional travel, meal and accommodation expenses while your vehicle is being repaired.1
Coverage of up to $15,000 for you and your spouse in the event of death or dismemberment.2
Borrowed or rented vehicles
Covers you in the event of theft or an accident when driving a rented vehicle or a vehicle borrowed from a friend in Canada or the U.S. It covers the cost of repairing or replacing the rented or borrowed vehicle up to a maximum of $75,000, meaning you don’t have to take out insurance from car rental agencies.3
In the event of a hit and run or a total loss, you pay no deductible up to a maximum of $500, provided that the accident is reported to the police within 24 hours.4
