The Office of Transformation is looking for a senior strategic communications advisor to manage the communications strategy within the organization. In this role, your primary responsibility will be to inform, mobilize and engage managers and employees in this transformation.

As part of this transformation, you will:

  • Provide strategic communications advice and support to the executive vice-president and the team (transversal at iA)
  • Anticipate the needs in terms of communications by identifying opportunities and issues in order to guarantee the success of the transformation
  • Establish communication strategies in collaboration with key players
  • Ensure the agile implementation of communication plans
  • Help support the understanding, mobilization, and engagement of all stakeholders 

Your mandate as a senior communications advisor will be to:

  • Analyze needs in terms of communications and suggest approaches that meet the objectives of the Office of Transformation
  • Recommend and develop appropriate communications strategies
  • Draft communication plans and key messages to educate, inform and engage managers and employees of iA Financial Group regarding the transformation of iA, for each initiative carried out by the organization
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of communication plans
  • Suggest better means of communication based on opportunities and issues
  • Measure the effectiveness of various communications activities
  • Ensure alignment of the communications activities carried out by the Office of Transformation with the major priorities of iA Financial Group and its business lines
  • Prepare internal communications from the chief transformation officer, particularly those related to the strategic priorities of the Office of Transformation
  • Ensure collaboration and alignment with chief strategic communications officer, the internal communications team, the transformation and change management advisor, the senior director of initiative portfolio management, program directors within the Office of Transformation, etc.
  • Actively participate in the transformation and change management plan and contribute to its deployment (communications, presentation to managers, etc.)

Desired profile

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications or another relevant field (marketing, change management)
  • At least seven years of experience in strategic communications in a transformation context
  • Excellent ability to understand the interests and needs of the various stakeholders, select ideas, and structure clear messages that address these ideas
  • Strong written communication skills to support major changes
  • Demonstrated political acumen, excellent judgment, and an ability to reconcile the interests and contribution of various stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills, and an ability to collaborate with others and influence others
  • Ability to navigate in an uncertain and ambiguous environment
  • Excellent command of English and French (verbal and written - must be bilingual)
