Description

Reporting to the Director, Communications, Training & Events, the Digital Communications Associate, will be responsible for creating, editing, maintenance and publication of content on both the business and employee intranet platforms, ensuring content across departments is current, and accurate in both English and French.

Working within a dynamic Corporate Communications team, the candidate will ensure site standards are implemented, in accordance with developmental design guidelines. The candidate will display excellent verbal and written communication skills when interacting with Content Management teams, across all departments within the company. The candidate will ensure that the company intranet platforms provide the necessary information, resources, and communications.

Responsibilities and Duties:

•Manage the content of the company intranet site through editing and publication of text and design components
•Liaise with Content Management teams to ensure all information provided on the platform is current and accurate in both English and French
•Communicate platform updates, notices, and outages to Content Management teams
•Work cooperatively with the AEM Business Administrator to ensure proper maintenance of the platform
•Play an integral role in the implementation of new platform design and functionality
•Provide general communications support, including the development of communications plans for specific initiatives and involvement in ad hoc projects
•Be the subject matter expert on the intranet and website content management systems for the organization
•Work with the training team to coordinate online training and development initiatives

Qualifications

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills: an ability to explain complex material simply and recognize the story behind the facts and deliver it with intelligence and creative flair, whether through blogs, posts, infographics and/or presentations
•Degree or graduate diploma in journalism, communications, and/or creative design
•3-5 years of related experience in communications, including traditional, social media and digital experience
•Demonstrated website content management system experience
•Strong editing and design skills
•Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) and experience with SharePoint, HTML coding, Word Press
•Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) versions 5.5 (SP1 & SP2), 5.6 (5.6.1), 6.1
•Superior understanding of internal communications
•Collaborative, creative personality with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
•Ability to apply best practices to user interface and interactive design
•An ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines and deliver high quality results on time
•Ability to navigate internal processes and procedures against tight timelines
•Strong analytical and data management skills and experience
•Ability to be self-motivated and work independently
•Experience in project management is an asset
•Bilingualism (in French and English) and experience in/understanding of marketing are an asset
