Contest Rules “$15,000 to Treat Yourself” from iA Auto and Home Insurance
The “$15,000 to Treat Yourself” contest is held and organized by Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. (hereinafter the “Organizer”).
1) ELIGIBILITY
This contest is open to all Quebec residents aged 18 or over.
The following individuals are excluded from the contest:
- Employees of Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. and persons residing with them.
- Employees of Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. (hereinafter “iA Financial Group”), including partner financial security advisors, and its subsidiaries and persons residing with them.
- Managing general agents, i.e. financial security advisors authorized to make referrals to Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. and persons residing with them.
- Advertising and marketing agencies, suppliers of prizes, materials or services related to this contest.
- Employees of business partners of Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc., including automobile dealerships.
Also ineligible are entrants who use an alias, the name of a person under 18 years of age or any other substitutions of a name.
2) HOW TO ENTER
This contest is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
There are three (3) ways to enter:
- By completing all the required fields of an entry form (Form F100-020A, F100-500A, F100-555A or the consent form attached to the market analysis) with an iA Financial Group financial advisor from one of the agencies listed in Appendix I. This entry form can also be provided electronically.
Limit of one entry form per person during the contest period. Only one entry form is permitted for spouses and common-law spouses. No purchase is required. Each entry form provides one (1) chance of winning the prize described in point 5 (hereinafter the “Prize”). The use of facsimiles is not permitted.
The entry form must have been received at the offices of Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance (located at 925 Grande Allée West, Quebec City, QC G1S 1C1) or been signed between Friday, January 1, 2021 and Friday, December 31, 2021.

By obtaining a quote, i.e. receiving a price, for auto insurance or home insurance:
- -on the VIP line at 1-866-650-4641 and mentioning the contest code received from one of our financial advisors from one of the iA Financial Group agencies or other agencies authorized to make auto and home insurance referrals. The entrant must have obtained the auto or home insurance quote on the VIP line between 8:00 am on Monday, January 4, 2021, and 4:00 pm on Friday, December 31, 2021.
- Using a web link specifically provided by one of our financial security advisors who is authorized to make referrals online, to complete his/her quote online. The entrant must have completed the online auto or home insurance quote between Friday, January 1, 2021, and Friday, December 31, 2021.
- No purchase is required. The quote completed with one of our property and casualty insurance agents on the VIP line of Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. or completed online within the required timeframe provides five (5) chances for the entrant to win the Prize.
Each quote provided for one of the abovenamed insurance products during the contest period gives the entrant five (5) chances to win per product. Only one auto insurance quote and one home insurance quote will be accepted for the purposes of this contest, for a maximum of ten (10) chances of winning during the contest period. Once the quote is completed, you will be automatically entered in the contest.
The entrant is the person who completed the quote (over the phone or online) and if declared the winner, the Prize will be awarded to this person.
- By submitting a 50-word text describing the importance of having a financial advisor to administer one’s finances. You must also indicate your full name, date of birth, email address and telephone number. Limit of one entry per address. This text must be received by December 31, 2021, at:

3) ENTRY RESTRICTIONS
Limit of eleven (11) contest entries per person for the entire contest period. Any attempts to exceed the number of permitted entries, specifically by using multiple or different email addresses, identities, registrations or logins nullifies all entries submitted by the entrant and will result in immediate disqualification. Any and all use of automated devices, robots, scripts, macros or automated contest entry services will result in the immediate disqualification of all entries submitted by the entrant.
4) CONTEST PERIOD
The contest starts at 8:00 am (ET) on Friday, January 1, 2021, and ends at 11:59 pm (ET) on Friday, December 31, 2021.
5) PRIZE
Each month during the contest period, five (5) finalists will be drawn and will each win $150 in the form of a cheque, for a grand total of sixty (60) finalists.
At the end of the year, and once all monthly draws have been completed, a grand draw will take place among the sixty (60) finalists and the winner will receive the grand prize of $15,000, in the form of a cheque.
Throughout the contest period, Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. will distribute sixty (60) cheques of $150 each and one (1) cheque of $15,000, for a total prize value of $24,000.
6) ACCEPTANCE OF CONTEST RULES
By entering the contest, the entrant agrees to comply with the contest rules and all decisions of the Organizer.
Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any entrant or contest entry that does not comply with the contest rules.
7) ODDS OF WINNING
The odds of becoming a finalist and winning one of sixty (60) prizes of $150 will be dependent upon the number of eligible entries received every month during the contest period, as well as the moment at which the entrant registers for the contest. Entrants are only eligible for the draw associated with the month they enter the contest.
For example, a client’s five (5) entries for a quote obtained in August will only count for the August draw. Entrants have a maximum of eleven (11) entries for the entire contest period.
Maximum of one (1) prize of $150 per entrant throughout the contest period.
Once the entrant has been declared a finalist, his/her chance of winning the grand prize of $15,000 is one in 60.
8) PRIZE DRAWS
Finalists of the draws for $150
The sixty (60) winners of the “$15,000 to Treat Yourself” contest will be determined by an electronic draw by a designated official at the head office of Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc., at 925 Grande Allée West, Suite 230 in Quebec City.
During the contest period, monthly draws will take place at 11:00 am (ET)on the first Wednesday following the last day of the previous month from among all entrants who have qualified in the month preceding the draw. All prize draw dates are detailed in Appendix II of these contest rules.
Maximum of one (1) prize per entrant. In the event that the same entrant is drawn a second time, Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance will draw again.
Winner of the grand prize of $15,000
The winner of the grand prize of $15,000 for the “$15,000 to Treat Yourself” contest will be determined by an electronic draw by a designated official at the head office of Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc., at 925 Grande Allée West, Suite 230 in Quebec City. The draw will take place at 11:00 am (ET) on Wednesday, February 17, 2022.
9) CLAIMING THE PRIZE
To be declared the winner, subject to eligibility, the entrant chosen by random draw must:
- Be reached by the Organizer by email or phone within 30 business days of the draw
- Sign and return the Declaration and Release Form (hereinafter “Declaration Form”) provided by the Organizer. The form can be returned by mail to the address listed below or by email to iah-prc@iaah.ca within 15 days of receipt

Failure to comply with any of the abovementioned conditions will result in the disqualification of the chosen entrant and there shall be another prize draw pursuant to the contest rules until a winner is drawn.
The prize will be presented by the financial security advisor who referred the winner, at a time determined by the contest Organizer. If an agreeable time could not be settled on with the winner within 60 days of the contest Organizer contacting the winner, or if the winner were unable to travel, the contest Organizer could mail the prize to the winner.
The Prize must be accepted as is, and cannot be transferred, assigned, substituted or exchanged, except at the sole discretion of the contest Organizer who reserves the right to substitute the Prize for a prize of equal value if, for any reason, the Prize cannot be awarded as is.
Upon receipt of the Prize, the winner releases Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc., Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc., and its subsidiaries, representatives and employees from any liability and waives any damages which may result from the acceptance and use of the Prize.
The winner acknowledges that upon receipt of the Prize, the fulfillment of prize-related obligations becomes the full and exclusive responsibility of the various goods and service providers.
10) REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES
Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. makes no declarations or warranties, express or implied, as to the quality or suitability of the Prize awarded. The winner acknowledges and agrees that he/she may not attempt to receive reimbursement, make a claim or commence any type of legal action against Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. in the event the Prize is not suitable for the purposes described or if he/she is dissatisfied with the Prize as awarded.
11) DECISIONS AND DISPUTES
The “$15,000 to Treat Yourself” contest is organized and managed by Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc.
Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. reserves the right to change the contest terms and conditions or to cancel the contest without prior notice, subject to approval by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux.
All decisions by the contest administrators are final and binding. However, any dispute regarding the conduct or organization of a promotional contest can be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any dispute regarding the awarding of a Prize may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
12) ACCEPTANCE AND SUBSTITUTION
The contest Organizer waives any and all liability where its inability to act is caused by a force beyond its control or by a labour dispute in its establishments or in the establishments of the organizations or business whose services are used for holding this contest.
13) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Entrants release Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc., its employees, agents, representatives and subsidiaries from any and all liability for damages resulting from their participation in the contest.
14) CHANGES TO THE CONTEST
The contest Organizer reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel or suspend this contest, in whole or in part, in the case of an event or a deliberate attempt to undermine the administration, security, impartiality or operation of this contest, as provided in these contest rules, subject to approval by the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, if necessary. In all circumstances, the contest Organizer, its subsidiaries, advertising and marketing agencies, goods and service providers related to this contest, as well as its representatives, agents and employees shall not be required to award more prizes or other prizes than those stated in these contest rules.
15) USE OF THE WINNER’S NAME
The winners authorize the contest Organizer to use their name, photograph, place of residence, voice or image for publicity purposes, without any compensation beyond the prize awarded, and they agree to have this information posted on websites and Facebook pages of iA Financial Group, its affiliated agencies and its representatives.
16) ENTRY MATERIALS AND COMMUNICATIONS
Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. remains at all times the exclusive owner of all contest entry materials and communications.
17) APPLICABLE LEGISLATION
The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal legislation as well as to these contest rules, which are available from Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. at www.ia.ca/contest-treat.
All applicable contest fees pursuant to the Act respecting Lotteries, Publicity Contests and Amusement Machines have been paid.
18) SEVERABILITY
Where a paragraph of these contest rules is declared or judged illegal, unenforceable or invalid by a competent jurisdiction, the paragraph in question will be considered void, but all other unaffected paragraphs will be applicable to the extent permitted by law.
19) PERSONAL INFORMATION
- For the purposes of this contest, Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. will gather and securely store your personal information.
- Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. will use this personal information to identify entrants and to contact the contest winner. The information gathered will also be used for solicitation purposes and to calculate the number of entries.
- If Industrial Alliance Auto and Home Insurance Inc. uses the services of specialized companies to deliver the Prize, they are only authorized to use the personal information collected for the purposes of delivering the Prize.
- If you have any questions regarding the use or disclosure of your personal information, please review the Privacy Policy for iA Financial Group at https://ia.ca/privacy-policy.

Appendix II
Prize Draw Dates – “$15,000 to Treat Yourself” Contest
The prize draws to determine the finalists will take place on the following dates at 11:00 am (ET):
- Wednesday, February 3, 2021: The draw will be performed from all eligible entries received from January 1, 2021, to January 31, 2021 (11:59:59 pm ET).
- Wednesday, March 3, 2021: The draw will be performed from all eligible entries received from February 1, 2021, to February 29, 2021 (11:59:59 pm ET).
- Wednesday, April 7, 2021: The draw will be performed from all eligible entries received from March 1, 2021, to March 31, 2021 (11:59:59 pm ET).
- Wednesday, May 5, 2021: The draw will be performed from all eligible entries received from April 1, 2021, to April 30, 2021 (11:59:59 pm ET).
- Wednesday, June 2, 2021: The draw will be performed from all eligible entries received from May 1, 2021, to May 31, 2021 (11:59:59 pm ET).
- Wednesday, July 7, 2021: The draw will be performed from all eligible entries received from June 1, 2021, to June 30, 2021 (11:59:59 pm ET).
