Changes to British Columbia provincial Medical Services Plan premiums

News Release

In September’s budget update, the Government of British Columbia announced that it will be reducing provincial Medical Services Plan (MSP) premiums by half for all residents. This change should take effect on January 1, 2018. The government also intends to eliminate MSP premiums within the next four years.

We invite you to review the terms and conditions of your benefits plan to see whether this change will have an impact on your obligations. We do not see any particular issues regarding the transition to the new premium rates in British Columbia.
